A 2020 graduate of South Burlington High School, Javen earned recognition for leadership and public speaking while organizing offseason training and mentoring younger athletes. He is currently a Business Administration and Management major at the UVM Grossman School of Business with a minor in physics, and serves as an intern with the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies.
At University of Vermont, Javen has been deeply involved in athletics and media, serving as a student manager for the UVM Catamounts men’s basketball team, competing for three years in club football (including one year as president), and working with LEARFIELD in sponsorship and promotions across Division I athletics.
He is also a member of the UVM Lawrence Debate Union, competing nationally and internationally. In 2025, he represented UVM in Tanzania at the East African Community headquarters, where his team placed 2nd out of 54 teams and he was named 2nd Best Speaker among nearly 200 competitors.
Within the Dolphins organization, Javen began as a volunteer intern preserving decades of game film before helping lead a full program rebuild in 2022. His impact spans digital strategy, branding, fundraising support, alumni engagement, volunteer management, and long-term organizational planning.
Football Experience
As a coach, Javen served three seasons as wide receivers and defensive backs coach before becoming Offensive Coordinator for the 7th and 8th grade team in 2024. He became Head Coach of the 5th and 6th grade team in 2025 and continues in that role, focused on player development and building the program’s future pipeline.
Before returning as a coach, Javen was a Dolphins player from 2012 to 2015, starring primarily at wide receiver and running back while also contributing across multiple defensive positions. His 8th grade team advanced to the semifinals, finishing just one play short of a championship appearance. He later played high school football for the South Burlington Rebels, the inaugural South Burlington Wolves, and the combined Burlington-South Burlington SeaWolves, earning all-state honors as a wide receiver while recording nearly 800 receiving yards and more than 50 receptions in his career. He was also a captain of varsity track and field and a member of Vermont’s 4×400 meter indoor state championship relay team putting up top numbers in SBHS history.
