Josh carey

Joshua Carey, a former Burlington Seahorses standout, played Quarterback and Defensive Back from 2004 to 2007, gaining invaluable experience that shaped his coaching expertise. A three-year Varsity starter, he played a key role in securing a D2 State Championship and earned Second Team All-State honors as a Defensive Back for the state of Vermont. In 2013, Carey continued his playing career as a Safety and Cornerback for the Vermont Ravens.

His transition to coaching began in 2010, leading the Winooski Youth program’s 7th & 8th grade teams. Since 2022, he has been an integral part of the Dolphins program, coaching alongside his sons, Jackson and Teagan. Most recently, he served as the Head Coach for the 5th-6th grade team in 2023 and 2024, before joining the 7th & 8th grade team in 2025.
