SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. – On Sunday, July 9th, Coaches Bryan Belisle and Javen Sears, along with four promising young athletes from the Dolphins organization (Kordell Phelps, 7th grade; Linus Dupee, 8th grade; Lewis Lovelady, 7th grade; and Sam DeSanctis, 8th grade) made their way to St. Johnsbury Academy for the “Alerico O-Line Clinic.”

The event started off with an electrifying introduction by Coach Rich Alercio, setting the tone for the day. The athletes jumped right into technique drills, engaging from their seats, before moving to the indoor fieldhouse for more dynamic drills. These activities emphasized proper footwork, visual targeting, and the most effective contact points for a variety of in-game situations. After an exciting day of learning and training, the young athletes left feeling inspired and enriched by the experience!

During the clinic, the Dolphins athletes encountered a diverse range of age groups and had the opportunity to interact with college head coaches Paul Castonia from Plymouth State University and Jeff Moore from Bentley University, creating an atmosphere charged with energy and excitement.

Sam DeSanctis, one of Dolphins athletes, reflected on the experience saying, “I enjoyed being able to go against higher grades and the techniques I learned.” However, the most significant takeaway for all the athletes was that they had fun. With quotes such as “It was fun!” (Lewis Lovelady), “I know I need to work on my kick step” (Kordell Phelps), and “I enjoyed the more complex activities” (Linus Dupee), it was evident that each participant left the clinic equipped with enhanced knowledge and skills, in addition to a priceless experience.
